The Association of Middle East Children and Youth Expanding Board and Membership

AMECYS is currently aiming to expand membership and board positions. We are holding open elections to inclusively broaden our reach.

AMECYS is an affiliate organization of the Middle East Studies Association devoted to the study of children and youth in the Middle East, North Africa and their diasporic communities, from diverse times and places, from any disciplinary or methodological approach.

Our Board includes: Atacan Atakan, Sabancı University, Dylan Baun, University of Alabama, Huntsville, Tory Brykalski, Independent Scholar, Majid Hannoum, University of Kansas, Hilary Falb Kalisman, University of Colorado, Boulder, Heidi Morrison, University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, Reda Rafei, Texas Tech University, Yael Warshel, UCLA; Invisible Light, and Melis Sulos, The Graduate Center, CUNY.
