DARTMOUTH COLLEGE SEEKS VISITING PROFESSOR 2026-27

The Department of Government at Dartmouth College invites applications for a Visiting Professor from an Israeli university to conduct research and teach in the department during the 2026–27 academic year. Candidates who are pursing research and teaching related to Israel’s domestic politics or foreign/security relations, broadly construed, are particularly encouraged to apply.

The appointment is for 1 or 2 terms during any of Dartmouth’s four 10-week quarters. Compensation is highly competitive. The successful candidate will teach 1 undergraduate course, related to Israeli politics, for each academic term in residence. Ideally applicants will have experience teaching a version of the proposed course. The visiting professor will also give a public lecture while at Dartmouth.

Questions about the position may be addressed to search chair  Professor William Wohlforth, at William.C.Wohlforth@dartmouth.edu.
